WV Connect puts India's wedding and film industries on one stage
India's wedding industry and its film industry have never shared a stage before. That changes next month.

India's wedding industry and its film industry have never shared a stage before. That changes next month.
WV Connect Season 4, billed as Asia's largest B2B wedding summit, opens in Hyderabad from September 1-3 under the theme "Weddings & Films." More than 800 delegates from over 20 cities are expected: wedding planners, production designers, filmmakers, cinematographers, choreographers, venue operators and technology providers, together to discuss how filmmaking technique and visual storytelling apply to weddings.
That pairing is the real story. Weddings in India have always had budgets. What they have not had, at scale, is access to the production discipline film brings - planning, lighting, story and spectacle treated as a craft, not a checklist.
When one industry formally invites its neighbour to the table, it is usually because the audience already expects what the neighbour delivers.
