Fever raises $250 million at a $5.2 billion valuation

Fever, the company behind ticketing platform DICE, raised $250 million this month in a round led by EQT, valuing the live-entertainment technology business at $5.2 billion. The company is calling it the largest financing round ever closed by a live-entertainment tech firm.

The round follows three years in which Fever more than tripled revenue while staying EBITDA-positive, now operating across 55 countries. The capital is earmarked for deeper expansion in North America and Asia, and for going further into concerts, sports, museums and festivals.

A $5.2 billion valuation on a company that sells access to live experiences, not a venue or an artist roster, says something about where investors think growth in entertainment now sits: not in owning more stages, but in the technology layer that gets people into them at scale.

That is a bet on live experience as a category that behaves like software, global and repeatable, rather than one city's box office at a time.
